Congratulations - Fall 2008
In 2008 I begun working with my graduation cards that I had received four years prior, when I graduated from high school. I knew I wanted to do something with them, and began experiementing. I finally landed on the "Congratulations" project. These are all 5x7's and are kept inside of a little box. There is no specific order, and each time someone looks at them the order can be rearranged. My initial thought was that while each one of these messages was very personal to me, it had the potential to remind almost everyone of what was said to them when they graduated.
The cards were scanned into photoshop where they were inverted and printed onto transparent paper. Then I used the transparencies to print each card 5x7, in the darkroom, onto Ilford Multigrade IV RC Glossy Paper.
